Synopsis
It was a time when sailors told stories of headhunters and pirates and fortunes for the finding in faraway lands. A time when there was a sense of adventure in the air and the world offered all sorts of possibilities for a young boy with a bright imagination. That young boy is Sam. With the aid of his feathered friend 'Swoop' - an unusually gifted Magpie - he is on the trail of his older brother Tom, who was taken away from him many years ago. Set in timeless landscape, The Adventures of Sam is a finely crafted fantasy adventure series. Each of the adventures runs for four episodes, giving programmers the option of either an on-going half hour series or a number of movie-length 'special presentations'.
